Course Description:

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. These individuals may have frontline management accountabilities.

Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in a specialist field of expertise that requires business operations skills. They may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.

After completing BSB50120 Diploma of Business, candidates may choose to undertake BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business or higher business related qualifications such as Bachelor of Business to enhance their skills set further.

Employment Pathway:

Once students have completed the BSB50120 Diploma of Business, they will be able to seek employment as a business manager or may begin a business venture in an industry of their own selection.

  • Duration: 78 weeks full time including 18 weeks of holidays.

Mode of Delivery:

The mode of delivery for this course is predominately face-to-face (facilitated on-site delivery). However, due to COVID-19, online delivery is also available. Students are also required to complete the self-paced study (independent self-directed study) to complement classroom learning.

Course Entry Requirements:

  • Candidates must be 18 years of age or above at the time of application.
  • BMP requires all candidates entering this course to have completed Year 12 or equivalent qualification or have relevant experience.
  • International Students must have a good command of written and spoken English. If English is not their first language or was not the medium of instruction and assessment in their secondary or tertiary studies, students must demonstrate their proficiency in English Language. The minimum English Language requirement is IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

RPL is the assessment process for recognizing competencies gained through previous learning, work and life experiences. Students who have completed any of the subjects or have practical experience that can be used for RPL, can contact Bright Minds Point prior to enrolment. In order to be granted RPL, candidates are required to provide evidence that they are already competent in the specific unit/units and this evidence should be valid, authentic, current and sufficient.
